1. Giyu’s Kimono Honoring His Sister and Sabito

Everyone is curious why Giyu Tomioka has two different shades of color on his kimono. The kimono holds a deeply sentimental connection to The Water Hashira, commemorating two of his closest people.

One side is from the kimono of his older sister Tsutako Tomioka; she died protecting Giyu when he was younger, so he wears it to remember her. The other side is from his friend Sabito’s kimono; after Sabito died during the final selection, Giyu combined it with his sister's to honor his fallen comrade and close friend.

2. Kamado Family Cameo in Mugen Train

In the Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train movie, Enmu seizes a second chance to showcase his demonic power, trapping Rengoku, Tanjiro Zenitsu, and Inosuke on a possessed train, inducing a deep slumber. Enmu strikes a deal with disadvantaged children, promising pleasant dreams in exchange for helping him find and eliminate his victims' cores. In Tanjiro's dream, a sick passenger discovers his core, symbolized by the sun.

The spirits inhabiting Tanjiro's subconscious mirrored his warmth and compassion. Despite being aware of the sick boy's mission, they guided him to the core nonetheless. While appearing as random spirits, each Sprite represents a member of Tanjiro's family: his mother, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, Rokuta, and Nezuko.

3. Why Inosuke’s Crow Hides from Him

In their fight against Muzan the Demon Slayer Corps must utilize all that they can to win. In order to gather information and communication the Demon Slayer Corps uses Kasugai crows which are birds that can speak to their owners.

Like all other demon slayers, Inosuke too has a crow named Dongurimaru but we never see him in the show. This is because Inosuke constantly tries to eat the poor thing who’s trying to make his missions easier. So far he has tried to eat Dongurimaru 18 times! No surprise the bird doesn't want to be seen near Inosuke.

4. Tanjiro’s Mask Foreshadows His Scar’s Importance

Before Tanjiro can take the Demon Slayer Corps' Final Selection Exam, his mentor, Sakonji Urokodaki, presents him with a final test: to carve through an enormous boulder, the largest ever assigned to one of Urokodaki's students.

During his training, Tanjiro wears a ceremonial mask from Urokodaki, resembling his own face, with a fiery mark on the top left. Initially insignificant, as Tanjiro's scar becomes central to the narrative, the sunlike markings on his mask gain importance.

5. Two Dual Swords Users

So far in Kimetsu No Yaiba, there are only two known demon slayers who use two swords at once. They are Tengen Uzui (Sound Hashira) and Inosuke. Two of the strongest demon slayers using two swords make them seem even more badass than usual.

It’s not certain but we may also get to see others who can dual wield in the possible future. It would be pretty interesting to see Tengen and Inosuke compete to prove who’s the best Demon Slayer character that can use two swords at once.

6. Tanjiro’s Strong Head is From His Mother

So everyone has seen that Tanjiro has a tendency to use his head in fights at time (quite literally bashing it against opponents). Well, this hardy head of his is thanks to his mother.

It is revealed in the show that Tanjiro’s mother once defeated a wild boar by headbutting it so it’s great to see such a powerful head get passed onto her son. A trait that's usually seen as a joke is actually one of Tanjiro’s most unassuming weapons in his arsenal.

7. Wind Hashira and Muzan Share Height and Weight

Now I doubt that the Wind Hashira Sanemi would like being compared to his enemies but it seems that he has the exact same height and weight as Muzan himself.

Sanemi who is 179 cm (5’10ft) and weighs 75 kg (165lbs) has completely mirrored the height of Muzan. Muzan is also 179 cm and 75 kg in weight as well. Odd coincidence or planned by the author for a future encounter, what do you think it could be? To test it out, you can buy figures and compare!

8. Wind Hashira’s Secret Weapon

Another lesser-known secret of the Wind Hashira is that he has a secret advantage against demons in his arsenal. Sanemi is what’s known as a Marechi.

Marechi’s are humans who have an extremely rare type of blood. The blood of a Marechi is said to be 10 times more flavourful to demons but it also makes them dizzy when they smell it. Because of this Sanemi’s blood gives him a great advantage over them in fights which he often used to take down strong demons in the past.

9. Mitsuri Was Rengoku’s Disciple

The Love Hashira Mitsuri before being known as the Love Hashira was a student of Rengoku. She used to study the flame breathing technique Rengoku is so famous for.

Due to being unable to master the flame flame breathing techniques Mitsuri went on to create her own variation of the fighting style called love breathing. Who’d known Rengoku’s student would become a Hashira with him?

10. Being Called Pale or Dead Angers Muzan

In Tokyo's Asakusa District, Muzan encounters a group of drunks and one of them calls Muzan pale. This enrages Muzan causing him to kill the entire group even though he would’ve spared them. This is due to him being reminded of his past.

As the Leader of demons, it is insulting for Muzan to be reminded of a time when he was weak. He hater remembering that he nearly died due to an illness whose cure would eventually turn him into the demon he is now.
