I came here for the Service Academy Program as a self-sponsored cadet. I am fortunate and extremely grateful to walk out of Marion with an appointment to the Air Force Academy, West Point, and the Merchant Marine Academy. MMI was the greatest thing that could have happened to me after not getting into West Point coming out of senior year. LTC Bowen knows what to do and will work with you and for you to make sure you reach your goals. I have made countless friends that will span across all services and am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that Marion has given me to explore my future. I am also incredibly blessed to have so many incredible people now in my life that support me and will always be a call away in time of need! If your questioning coming to MMI, don't. It's the best decision you will make for yourself. Trust me, I am proof!

Marin Military was the perfect place to come to prepare myself for a service academy. The high quality education and the experts that help one as a self prep gain an appointment are unmatched. The plethora of extra curriculars help to keep cadets busy and expand their horizon as they prepare for a life in the military or to be a leader in the work force. Overall, I would recommend MMI to any interested in a challenge and definitely if you are trying to go to a service academy as the coordinator and support staff will do everything in their power to make sure you get to where you want to go.

Coming to Marion Military Institute was the best choice I could have made. After being deeply involved with my high school's JROTC program, I knew that I wanted to go into the military. My senior year I applied for the Air Force Academy and unfortunately I did not get it. However I now know it was a blessing from God because he led me to MMI. Here I learned how to be a college student and cadet life without having to deal with difficulties that the academies come with. The staff here is very supportive and they are willing to go to the ends of the Earth to make things happen as long as you put in the work, especially Colonel Bowen. I have now received my appointment to the USAFA and I am ready like never before thanks to MMI and its amazing staff.
