- Price:
- CA $3.88
- Retailer:
- Safeway
More offers from Safeway
Safeway (West) has frozen pork belly with skin on for $3.88/lbs this week with 500 Scene points. (Worth $5)
From past buys, these are German pork products which I find superior to others.

This is a great deal, but is German pork really superior to Canadian or America pork? I’ve bought frozen German pork belly and ribs from PriceSmart before and they were…really terrible.
Not just once, but many times. I get suckered by their low prices every time and regret it when the finished product only gets half eaten at the dinner table.

I've only tried Safeway German ones but have noticed Pricesmart has started carrying the German ones as well... they have the same stamping and seems like people go crazy when it's on sale at PS...
I would have expected it to be same quality...

I'm guessing these aren't pre sliced in strips and they aren't doing fully service on them?

they're pretty big frozen unsliced slabs. They often times have them on sale for $3.99/lb so this is a little better. Other Groceries also have them periodically for $3.99/lb. I think T&T had these for the same price except Fresh and not frozen.

This week, they have bonus 500 Scene points that is worth $5, so it's a great deal.
T&T will have fresh but rarely will this be $4/lbs... think I've seen this once so it's definitely rare. Korean supermarket have sliced unfrozen for $4.99/lbs on sale quite regularly.

Are you out West or out East? Out West our pricing is ALWAYS higher so you need to add a dollar or two more per pound...at least...
