Indulge in a variety of delicious items like biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon, refried beans, and more. Don’t forget the fruit station and desserts! Drinks are included.
Lunch is just $11.99 and dinner options range from $15.99 to $18.99, including prime rib and crab legs. Enjoy stellar service from our friendly staff — ask for Mallory or Saúl’s sections, if they are working.
2. Golden West Restaurant & Casino
Experience the hidden gem of Mesquite at Golden West Restaurant & Casino. Locals rave about this favorite spot for its incredible burgers, delectable breakfast options, and thrilling casino games. As you enter, you’ll be captivated by the vibrant mural that sets the atmosphere. Conveniently located with ample parking, visiting Golden West is a no-brainer.
Inside, get swept away by the excitement of the slot machines before indulging in the mouthwatering food they offer. While the dining area may be cozy, there are also bar seating options with removable trays for your convenience.
Don’t miss the heavenly omelets and fluffy pancakes that Golden West is known for. And the best part? The prices are reasonable and the portions are satisfying.
For under $10, treat yourself to their biscuits with gravy, hash browns, and choice of sausage or bacon. But if you’re in the mood for something different, their renowned juicy burgers are a must-try.

4. Town Square Buffet
Our friends and neighbors in Mesquite couldn’t stop raving about Town Square Buffet at Eureka Casino Resort. With its modern decor and cosmopolitan atmosphere, this buffet is the perfect place to gather with friends and enjoy breakfast, brunch, and even some unexpected treats like prime rib and seafood.
While prices may be a bit higher than other options in town, the quality and variety make it well worth it.
Speaking of quality, the creme brûlée is a must-try, even for the pickiest eaters. And while our experience overall was great, there was one minor hiccup. Many guests were there for the complimentary mimosas, causing a bit of a delay in service from the waitstaff. As someone with restaurant experience, I suggest having a dedicated attendant solely for handling the drink options to ensure a smoother experience for everyone.
5. Los Lupes Restaurant
Discover the ultimate Mexican dining experience in Mesquite at Los Lupes. With friendly staff and an array of classic Mexican favorites — albeit burritos, fajitas, taquitos, and quesadillas, this restaurant is a must-visit. The festive decor and salsa bar add to the lively atmosphere.
Don’t miss the creamy and delicious guacamole dip served with warm tortilla chips. For a satisfying meal, try the Enchilada Suisas, topped with fresh avocado slices that perfectly complement the hearty flavors. And let’s not forget the standout star of the lunch – the unforgettable refried beans.
I don’t know what the folks in Mesquite do to make the refried beans so amazing, and I’ve eaten a lot of Mexican food in my time, but they are the best right here in Nevada.
6. Gregory’s Mesquite Grill
Want an unforgettable dining experience in Mesquite? Head to Gregory’s Mesquite Grill, voted TripAdvisor’s #1 restaurant. Food enthusiasts from all over flock to this fine-dining gem. Be sure to arrive early as guests eagerly line up 30 minutes before opening.
Follow our lead and grab a spot at the bar of this Eureka Casino Resort, just like we did with help from our knowledgeable friends. The bartenders provide attentive and friendly service. Indulge your taste buds with the incredible Shrimp Rockefeller: four jumbo shrimp, lovingly stuffed with spinach and bacon, topped with Romano cheese and hollandaise sauce.
Next, try Mesquite’s finest Caesar salad or the delectable crab cakes with their expertly crafted sauce. And take note of the lovely fresh flowers adorning your plates – an elegant touch that adds to the memorable experience at Gregory’s Mesquite Grill.
7. Samurai 21
Eddie and I dined at Mesquite’s Samurai 21, and were impressed by the packed parking lot – a sign that the food must be good! Upon entering, we were greeted by a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The bar area is perfect for solo diners, while the neatly arranged tables create an intimate setting.
As for the food, I opted for the tofu lunch special, while Eddie went with the chicken. Normally, hibachi meals come with soup or salad (or both), rice, veggies, and an entree. However, at Samurai 21, things were a bit different.
The combo meals did include a soup and salad starter, with a special shoutout to the delicious ginger dressing. The main course was served separately, accompanied by plain fried rice. Since I love grilled vegetables, I ordered a side to complete my meal.
Speaking of the food, the combination options at Samurai 21 are impressive. From lobster and salmon to chicken, filet mignon, and shrimp, there’s something for everyone. I did notice that the prices were a bit steep, especially for the side of veggies I ordered. At $5.95 for what seemed like less than a cup, I probably won’t be ordering them again.
Now, onto a pleasant surprise. It’s unclear whether it’s a standard part of the meal or a friendly gesture from our waiter since it was our first time, but we were offered a sushi appetizer, which turned out to be excellent.
8. Peggy Sue’s50’s Diner
Discover Peggy Sue’s Diner – a fun, retro eatery that will transport you back to the 50s! Indulge in classic diner favorites while surrounded by vintage movie star posters and grooving to throwback tunes. The atmosphere is brightened up by colorful light covers, creating a cheerful dining experience.
For dinner, I opted for the Tuna Melt (with Swiss) in a wrap, while Eddie enjoyed the refreshing Oriental salad. The salad was perfectly complemented by a finger-lickin’ sweet and tangy dressing. I even had the option to dip my fries in two different dressings, thanks to our attentive waitress.
Speaking of service, our waitress juggled the entire restaurant by herself on the weeknight we visited. With a little help from a hostess and a young helper, she did a spectacular job of ensuring every table was taken care of. Well done!
As for the food, Eddie and I both agreed that it was very good. The portion sizes were generous and definitely justified the price. Don’t let the reviews fool you – Peggy Sue’s Diner has delicious food, but few dining room servers. Be prepared to wait.
9. 1880 Grille at Conestoga Golf Club
Welcome to 1880 Grille, located inside the Conestoga Golf Club. Whether you’re a golfer or a local, this charming rustic restaurant is a must-visit. With its stunning views and a menu that covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there’s something for everyone here.
On the menu, you’ll find all your favorite dishes, with a focus on delicious omelets, fresh salads, mouthwatering sandwiches, and a tempting selection of appetizers. We had the pleasure of trying the breakfast burrito and biscuits & gravy, both solid choices. While the burrito was satisfyingly filling, the real star was the salsa, which would perfectly complement any egg dish.
If you’re looking for a breakfast option that go beyond the ordinary, we highly recommend the French crêpes with bananas or berries, the Hawaiian French Toast. For lunch or dinner, don’t miss the Buried in a Bunker – a delectable French Croque Monsieur sandwich with ham and Swiss, topped with a rich béchamel sauce.
And let’s not forget about our outrageously good burgers. They’re a crowd favorite and known to be absolutely delicious. Be sure to also check out our happy hour specials, which are a big hit among both Mesquite golfers and locals.
10. D Thai Bistro
Mesquite is a small town with a surprising number of four Thai restaurants. Despite its small size, the locals certainly have a love for this exotic fare – and I can see why. D Thai Bistro is one of the four, a serene spot with a menu that will tantalize your taste buds. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming.
We kicked off our meal with crab Rangoons, a classic appetizer that unfortunately fell a bit short of expectations. However, don’t miss out on their Thai tea – a must-try delicacy that will leave you craving more.
Moving on to the main course, I indulged in the yellow curry with chicken, while my husband Eddie bravely tackled a hot chicken dish. Both dishes were met with enthusiasm, as their robust flavors and generous portions satisfied our appetites perfectly.
11. Poncho’s Taco Shop
Discover the hidden gem that is Poncho’s Taco Shop, nestled right across from the bustling Walmart complex on Pioneer Blvd. This fantastic little eatery may not be on social media, but one bite of their delicious offerings and you’ll be hooked!
Zip in and out with ease thanks to their convenient drive-thru, serving up quick and scrumptious meals every time.
Don’t miss out on the #21, an incredible wet bean and cheese burrito smothered in their amazing red sauce. This satisfying treat is a must for any true foodie. My hubby is a fan of the chicken taco and cheese burrito with rice. Oh, and let’s not forget their irresistibly smooth horchata – the best in town!
Poncho’s has you covered for breakfast too, serving up delightful breakfast burritos to-go for those busy mornings. Come to Poncho’s Taco Shop and indulge in the tasty eats that’ll have you coming back every week — like we do!
12. Katherine’s Steakhouse
Get ready to tantalize your tastebuds at Katherine’s Steakhouse, located in Casablanca Resort & Casino, the go-to spot in Mesquite for a fine-dining experience that’s off-the-charts!
Ranked as our top pick, this hotspot boasts not only mouthwatering steaks and seafood, but also offers spectacular table-side salads and desserts that’ll make you feel like royalty.
Coming to Katherine’s is more than just having a meal, it’s an exquisite dining adventure that delivers a powerful punch. Irresistible perks like illuminated menus, flawless service, and fancy extras like imported cheese and almond-scented hot towels at the end will make you want to celebrate each visit like a special occasion.
Start off your meal at Katherine’s Steakhouse with the delectable table-side prepared Caesar salads, known for their flavorful mustard dressing. For appetizers, choose between the Tomato Mozzarella or the exquisite Escargot & Oysters Rockefeller.
Afterward, savor the hearty entrées like the Maryland crab cakes, smothered in a delicious Creole mustard sauce, or the Chicken Piccata, served in a mouthwatering lemon-butter sauce. Accompany your entrée with sides of asparagus and creamy corn for the perfect pairing. 13. Chicago Greek
Thank heavens I can get a perfect gyro in town.Ina strip mall setting, Chicago Greek is a powerhouse eatery with terrific Greek menu items and burgers, of all things.
The crowd seemed split down the middle, half ordering gyros and souvlaki while the other half was chowing down on picture-perfect burgers.
Chicago Greek is a counter-service restaurant, but once you’ve ordered and paid, just have a seat, and they will bring the food to your table. The Greek salad is so tasty, and a do-not-miss item. I love the lamb & beef gyro; just what the doctor ordered.
My husband gets the souvlaki platter with rice, tzatziki, and warm pita bread. He isn’t a fan of the tomato-based sauce on the rice, but I really like it.
14. Cucina Italiana
Discover Italian dining at Cucina Italiana, the only Italian restaurant in Mesquite. Immerse yourself in an elegant ambiance with dark wood accents and white tablecloths. Conveniently located, this restaurant offers an exclusive lunch menu at special prices.
Indulge in a delectable array of classic Northern Italian dishes that will transport your taste buds to the heart of Italy. Accompanied by a carefully curated wine selection, your dining experience will be extraordinary. The best part? No reservations are needed!
Start your culinary journey with a house salad topped with Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Don’t be fooled by its simplicity – the flavors will astound you.
If you would like a starter, the Elegant Antipasto for Two offers pepperoni, salami, olives, prosciutto, capicola, and artichokes.
As for the main course, you’ll be spoilt for choice. I highly recommend the spaghetti with meatballs – a generous portion of pasta, perfectly complemented by a rich tomato meat sauce. Topped with a gigantic meatball and sprinkled with fresh Parmesan, it’s a dish that surely satisfied. Eddie opted for the cheese ravioli with a tangy tomato cream sauce, a choice he thoroughly enjoyed.
If you can’t decide between the tempting pasta options, fear not! The sampler offers petite portions of lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and cheese ravioli, allowing you to savor a little bit of all three.
15. Mesa Buffet at Casablanca Resort & Casino
A second restaurant at the Casablanca Resort & Casino is Mesa Buffet, open only on weekends, with all-you-can-eat entrees, sides, desserts, steaks, seafood, and mimosas for brunch.
Pro Tip: Casablanca and Virgin River are owned by the same company. I recommend getting a player’s card, which you can scan daily in a kiosk to win prizes. Our prizes range from $1-$5 off any food item each time we scan it. The coupons are valid for a week and can be combined. There are days we pay only a few bucks for our meal thanks to this real money saver.
Choose from three easy-to-navigate food bars: a salad and cold foods bar, the main buffet line, and a cooked-to-order section for pancakes, pasta dishes, and cooked-to-order steaks.
Mesa Buffet’s breakfast choices have delicious chicken fried steak with gravy, eggs Benedict, and Prime rib. The action station makes omelets with all your favorite ingredients, too.
Dinners offer a variety of steaks cooked to temp and pasta dishes with everything but the kitchen sink. If they offer bananas foster or cherries jubilee, you’ll want to wait in line for it; trust me.
Pro Tip: Seafood night offers shrimp, oysters, and sushi.
16. Mason Street Courtyard
A second restaurant at the Eureka Casino Resort isMason Street Courtyard. It’s a lovely eatery, with a cafe-looking setting towards the front and an elegant and stylish restaurant in the back. Skip the breakfast buffet, which is packaged and reheated items, but Mason Street’s lunch and dinner are worth trying.
Eddie’s Chicken Caesar salad was saporous. It had bite-sized pieces of romaine generously dressed in a tangy Caesar dressing, and get this; it was served in a parmesan bowl. The bowl was big enough to share with me, which I greatly appreciated.
I chose the Super Nachos, an excellent choice. My heaping pile of tortilla chips was slathered in ground beef, pico, and a yummy nacho cheese sauce, with sour cream and salsa on the side. Guacamole is available, too. I felt this dish was well worth the $10.99 price tag.
Blue Plate specials are also served Monday through Saturday, from noon until they sell out. Mondays are country fried steak, Tuesday tacos, walleye Wednesdays, Thursday’s chicken teriyaki bowl, and weekends offer a steak & shrimp scampi.
17. La Fonda Mexican Restaurant
La Fonda is a casual Mexican eatery serving lunch and dinner daily from 10 AM to 9 PM. There is a welcome vibe at La Fonda, which also has a convenient location, but there is little or no social presence at this restaurant.
Start your dining experience with the Queso Fundido, which was extra tasty with the add-on of chorizo. I ordered fresh avocado slices on the side, which took it to another level.
Eddie and I shared Chicken Fajitas, which had a good amount of green peppers and onions, plus rice, refried beans, warm flour tortillas, and pico de Gallo. I thought the guacamole in the freshly fried red tortilla basket was a nice touch and tasty.
Our meal was big enough to share, especially considering all the melty queso we had just eaten. Kudos for the personable service. We will be back.
18. Casa Café
The third and final restaurant at Casablanca Resort & Casino isCasa Café. This one serves American-style foods and a local favorite, the Deuces Special, 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, and 2 pancakes. You’ll see this terrific special advertised for $8.99 on billboards miles away.
It is a lot of food and a tasty breakfast offering.
Besides the breakfast special, Casa Café has gourmet 1/2 pound burgers, every kind of sandwich you can think of, pastas, salads, soup, and a smorgasbord of entrees from St. Louis Pork Ribs to slow-simmered pot roast.
The daily specials aren’t publicized anywhere that I can find, nor are the Chinese menu selections, but there are even more menu items to choose from than what meets the eye on the online menu.
I picked a Chinese chicken dish, which was loaded with veggies and peanuts. The sauce was flavorful and didn’t overpower the meat. Eddie had a classic club sandwich. Between perfectly toasted bread slices (3, of course) were ample amounts of turkey, ham, cheese, and bacon, plus just the right amount of lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
If you love a good club sandwich as we do, this is where you’ll find a great one.
Fries came on the side, which we shared because they were so darned good that I couldn’t resist. Besides so much tasty food, you can’t beat the hours—5 AM to 11 PM seven days a week.
19. Cafe Rio Mexican Grill
I don’t often include local chain restaurants, but Cafe Rio Mexican Grill needs to be mentioned. This counter-serve eatery looks like Qdoba, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and those chains, but the food quality is light years ahead.
Cafe Riohas bowls, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and the rest of your Mexican faves. They are also home to the “Original sweet pork barbacoa.”
We go for the Wednesday special, a loaded tostada with your choice of meat (we prefer shredded chicken) and a drink for $9.69. You can upgrade your drink to a large one for 20 cents more. Horchata is an option and really refreshing.
Use the app to order, which earns points back for free meals in the future. and our order is ready and waiting by the drink station for pick-up. It’s quick, tasty, and a great deal.
Pro Tip: Add an order of Chips & Queso for a smoky, creamy cheese dip that is addictive.
20. Cinnamon Cafe
Sign me up for the chorizo and jalapeño omelet from Cinnamon Cafe every day to get my day off to a happy start. My husband prefers the sweeter choices, like the caramel and banana French toast, piled high with a cream cheese drizzle.
Cinnamon Cafe also has an arsenal of Eggs Benedict varieties, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and burritos. They also excel in coffee and teas. Mimosas, champagne, and beer are other liquid faves.
For lunch, try a picture-perfect salad, sandwich, or one of the 70 or so other choices. We can attest to the 10/10 Apple Cinnamon salad, a genius creation with crispy chicken, feta cheese, pecans, green apples, and the most yummy cinnamon dressing. I’ve never tried anything like it!
Cinnamon Cafe has quite a few Mexican dinner entrees, too.
21. Scotty’s Bar & Grille
Scotty’s at Falcon Ridge is a local’s favorite, serving elevated bar food and offering amazing views of Mesquite. Scotty’s serves breakfast and lunch, and is the perfect place to watch the annual balloon festival in town.
Favorites for my family include Fish & Chips and any of the burgers, namely the Blue Cheese burger. The chicken Philly is also a delicious choice.
22. Rain Thai Sushi Cuisine
Mesquite isn’t lacking for Thai restaurants, but this one is the best. Rain Thai makes killer sushi rolls, and the regular menu items are filling, tasty, and priced just right.
We like to order the curry dishes, shrimp, chicken, or pork, but the curry bowl, with egg noodles, are maybe even more delicious. Top starters are crab Rangoons and egg rolls. Nom! If you are looking for a quick stop off I-15, with awesome service and great food, this is it.
Kudos to Rain Thai for having a user-friendly menu and lovely photos of their food on it. Please note, they are closed on Sundays.
23. The Worden
Experience casual fine-dining at The Worden, a lovely restaurant with a hint of romance in the air. The Worden serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week, and dinner Thursday through Saturday.
The Worden’s menu has great lunch options, such as poke tuna nachos, chicken corn chowder, French dip sandwiches, and Caprese salads. For dinner, try the succulent New Zealand lamb chops, a hand-cut filet mignon, linguine with clams, or seared sea scallops.
My favorite is the Chicken Piccata in a lemon caper white wine sauce. It was fantastic, which almost made up for the slow service and lack of care from the manager on duty. Reservations are required.
24. Table of Contents
Our local library has the most darling restaurant, that also makes really great food. Select from the weekly menu of paninis, soup, or quiche, and a few house-made sweet treats, like cookies or smoothies.
My favorite is the quiche, a hearty slice with quality ingredients and full of flavor. Table of Contents has friendly workers, a full gourmet coffee menu, and even drive through pick-up.
Hours of operation are 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday.
