This is a suspiciously hilarious all time episode. The GI originals lineup plus Huber is a whopper

I don't have a link to it, but Hanson being dismayed by the scratched-up screen on his launch Switch should come as a surprise to no one, least of all him. For when this thing launched in 2017 and the GI crew were discussing the portability options, Hanson drew the incredulous scorn of the rest of the hosts (Cork, I think, was there and quite vocal in his "are you INSANE!?") when he casually admitted to just shoving his Switch into the back pocket of his jeans, and eschewing any sort of carrying case.

Huber's PS5 issue is a manufacturing issue related to the distribution of the liquid metal inside. Can be repaired. I had the same issue (started off shutting itself off very sporadically on demanding games but worsened to the point that it was shutting off after 30m of playing Spider-Man 2 last year), I tried everything in terms of cleaning it myself with no luck, took it to an expert and it's been completely fine since.

Leo, has this happened last year? I'm sorry for your loss. My too lost a sibling to suicide, gee, more than 17 years ago and I still feel terrible when I think about what happened. I don't remember what kind of media I consumed at the time or what games I played, it feels all blank but I remember mourning for months yet no movie, series or game comes to mind but I'm pretty sure I played something during those months.
I don't remember if the 2014 Need for Speed movie leaned into it or not but I saw a teaser where they showed off a lot of filming sequences where they used practical effects and seriously that tipped me over to watch the movie. A buddy and I went to see it and I ended up LOVING the movie, it's one of my favourite game2movie adaptation even though I don't like the Fast and Furious movies so it's not a genre thing.

I was just wondering about MVC2 on mame the other day. From what I understand it doesn't exist on mame because it ran on a type of arcade hardware called Naomi that isn't supported by well by mame. I think you could get a Naomi emulator but it sounds like a lot of work and you already have MVC2, the best game!

All i care about is a beefy Starfield update, Diablo 4 expansion details, Dying Light 2 expansion details, and another Monster Hunter Wilds trailer. Maybe something else will surprise me tho. Avowed looks like garbage, and so does Fable, which bums me out bcs the original Fable is one of my favorite games of all time, and even if i think Obsidian is mediocre, i was hoping Avowed would at least look decent. It does not. Still stoked tho! Favorite time of the year!

Leo's criticism of Smash Bros. doesn't make any sense. Smash has never been a free for all only game. Since 1999 Smash has always had 1 v 1 and team matches.

super unpopular opinion, and I will likely get mad flamed for it due to their popularity buuttt...
Pirate Software is kinda really icky. I really don't like the way he parasocialy manipulates a seemingly primarily young audience.
He recently has started doing "hype train races" Where he and another streamer tell their audience that they are going to see who can have the longest hype train.
The way they frame it is really where it gets gross. They start to ramp their audience up by having this playful back and forth digging at eachother setting the scene that this is a competition.
He then begins saying stuff like " *WE* are going to win guys" making the audience feel like the "win" is theirs to
They then procede to sit there and beg the audience to continue sending them money because they really want to win. It is honestly haunting to watch these two wealthy men sit there and just continusly beg for money as everyone thinks they are all in on this fun game. He continues to shout stuff like " *WE* are winning guys! come on push just a bit more!" It is actually tragic to read his chat while this happens.
He seems to be a very smart dude, and entertaining for sure. But I am just so unsettled by this new thing he has been doing.
TLDR: Dude cashed in on all the good will he built up and seemingly no one noticed. It is pretty painful to watch a presumably wealthy man beg his audience for even more money. (he made over a million dollers over the two times he has done it so far between him and his "competitor")
PS: He also made up a really weird elaborate lie about how he was a king in eve online and was almost imediately proven to be making it up. Its super small I know, its just super odd.
